Isadora Duncan Triptych Painting by Abraham Walkowitz
Three artist walk into a bar…. Lets try again. Abraham Walkowitz walks into Rodin’s studio and comes face to face with Isadora Duncan. What would you do? Well, Abraham was so intranced that he painted Ms. Duncan, mostly watercolor, for the next 30 years or so. I think that was an appropriate response. Just about what I’d do if I possessed the talent. Maybe he had her pose for him hundreds of times simply because he liked looking at her. Also an appropriate response, I believe. We purchased this triptych as part of an estate of a well-known artist. Paintings seem to be in excellent condition. The frame has a few bumps and bruises though less than one might expect after 70 years or so.
Outside dimensions of frame are 34.25” x 20.25” Left painting is 8” x 13” Center Painting is 7.75” x 13.75” Right painting is 7.5” x 12.25”
