1960s Charles Webb King Size Spindle Bed Frame in White Oak

$1,500.00

Charles and his guys built simple solid wood furniture meant to be equally durable and stylish. White oak was his preferred wood though he sometimes made walnut pieces and also cherry. When we both had sawdust on our shoes in the 70s I saw him once in a while. When he came into the store I remembered him but I doubt he remembered me from our chats. Charles was pleased to see his furniture still treasured and probably more importantly, he liked that it stood the test of time both in style and durability. This king bed has been lovingly restored by light sanding with fine sandpaper, had three coats of oiled applied and buffed. The golden patina remains.SOLD

This bed was built when Charles was still using hand-cut dovetails for the corners. Later, machine cut box joints were used.

Delivery available. SOLD

Width, inside of frame rails 78.5” Length inside of frame 82.5” Height of headboard 30”. Height of footboard 24”. Height of supporting slats is 14”
