1957 Hand Hammered Enamel on Copper Bowl, signed
Signed Doris Holway ‘57 (I think that’s the last name). Exquisite color with textured finish. There are two unusual things about this bowl. Firstly, the copper was hand hammered instead of being a thin copper molded “blank” one would purchase at a craft store. Secondly, The subtle detail of triangles at the rid is something we have never seen before and incredibly difficult to accomplish with such precision. This woman was good at her craft.
